Turkish judiciary refuses a request to re-ban headscarves in schools




Turkish Council of State rejected an appeal made by the head of the union of judges, Umar Farouk Emin Aga Oglu, to restore the headscarf ban in junior high and high schools in Turkey.

According to Turkish media, said on Wednesday that the Eighth Circuit of the State Council rejected the appeal submitted on allowing the hijab in schools.

The official newspaper of the country have been published in the September 27, 2014 the government's decision on dressed students in schools and educational institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Education, and allowed under this resolution-oriented conservative Muslim headscarf in preparatory and secondary schools Turkish government.
