The hunger strike among prisoners at Guantanamo Bay is into day 48 - but their plight's still struggling to garner wider attention. Lawyers say over 100 inmates are refusing food - and are concerned about their deteriorating health. Prison officials continue to downplay the protest, and there's little coverage in the U.S. media, as Marina Portnaya explains. Blackout TV: US media turn blind eye to Gitmo hunger strike Video: Police tear gas anti-gay marriage protesters in Paris Paris riot police fought back crowds who pushed their way onto Paris' landmark Champs-Elysees avenue as part of a huge protest against a draft law allowing same-sex couples to marry and adopt children. The first few hours of the protest were peaceful, but as it was meant to be winding down about 100 young people tried to push past police barricades. Police officers wrangled with the youths and then fired tear gas to force them back.
