Space: The final [military] frontier

Space: The final [military] frontier

The Annual Space and Missile Defense conference is underway in Huntsville, AL with the theme of 'enabling regional war fighters'. The group is in the business of promoting missiles and other weapons technology. Space entrepreneur Jeff Manber said the Pentagon and the defense industry have come to realize that regionalization is key to modern war fighting, thus a growing theme in the industry is looking towards finding new ways to decentralize Pentagon weapons responses globally. Space is today a necessary component of America's military theater and the US will act preemptively to ensure their access to space, said Manber. He said this is unfortunate because he would prefer space be a non-military frontier.
