Hurricane Irene hype



The American East Coast was in the crosshairs of Hurricane Irene. Americans were promised to face an apocalyptic event and, for the first time, New York City's subway system was stopped as the media went berserk about an almost certain doom. Later on, however, the Category 3 hurricane was downgraded to a tropical storm. So was Irene worth all the mainstream media coverage?
