Gaddafi: America's easy target?
The US opts not to interfere in the internal affairs of its allies in the region, no matter how grave the situation becomes. Vijay Prashad, the Director of International Studies at Trinity College explained Libya was an easy target in the region, a non-US ally who does not walk in-step with the West. And, the UN resolution on Libya is so vague it doesn't differentiate well between civilians and rebels - opening the door for the coalition to support the rebels above and beyond humanitarian needs.
