Liam Turner was playing with his sister at home when he was run over
Mother Lindsey described how her foot 'slipped' and car 'jolted' over son
His father flagged down a passing ambulance but Liam died in hospital
Coroner Nicholas Holroyd recorded a conclusion of accidental death

A mother accidentally killed her three-year-old son while learning to drive the family car for the first time, an inquest heard today.
Mother-of-two Lyndsay Turner, 34, described how her 'foot slipped' and her Citroen C4 'jolted forward' and ran over her much-loved little boy Liam.
Mrs Turner was pulling into a parking area near their home in Adland Road, Watton, Norfolk, when she hit her son as he played nearby.
The boy's father Stephen, 37, moved the toddler from underneath the vehicle and drove him towards the hospital before flagging down an ambulance, the court was told.
Liam was airlifted to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital but could not be saved.
An inquest into the incident on June 7 last year was held at Norwich Coroner's Court today.
The inquest heard Liam was playing outside with his older sister on a hot summer's day when he died.
In a statement, Mrs Turner said she had asked her husband to teach her to drive and decided to move the car a short way to its parking space.
It was the first time she had ever driven the car. She did not have a provisional driving licence and was not insured.
'My foot slipped and it jolted suddenly forward,' she told police.
Mr Turner had supervised her moving the car from outside the vehicle.
Neighbour Amy Jones saw Mrs Turner pulling into the space in a 'stuttering' manner and heard Mr Turner shouting 'stop' followed by a loud crunch.

'Liam was bleeding really badly and I told Stephen to put him in the car and take him to hospital,' she added.

Pc Forbes Scott told the court Mrs Turner was on a public road and should not have been driving but the Crown Prosecution Service had decided it was not in the public interest to bring charges.
'There are no plans to bring any criminal proceedings in this case,' he added. He said there were no faults with the car.
The inquest heard Liam suffered a serious head injury and irreversible brain damage and died at the hospital's accident and emergency department at 8.16pm that day.
Deputy Coroner Nicholas Holroyd recorded a conclusion of accidental death.
He told the couple: 'This was an appalling tragedy and you both have my profound sympathy for this loss.
'There are very few parents who when looking back haven't said to themselves "that was a near thing", tragically this ended as disastrously as it did.'
Mr and Mrs Turner chose not to comment after the hearing.
In a statement issued shortly after his death, the couple said: 'We are devastated by the loss of our darling little man.
'Liam was a happy, content little boy who was always smiling and laughing.
'He had a wonderful sense of humour and brought joy to the lives of everyone who knew him. He was deeply loved.
'Life will not be the same without him.'

A school minibus has crashed into a truck in France, killing at least six children a day after another road accident involving a school bus left two youngsters dead.
The head-on smash with a lorry carrying rubble occurred around 7:15am local time near Rochefort in the western Charente-Maritime region.
Jerome Servolle, a local police official, said a 'gate-like object' had swung open on the truck, slicing through the vehicle at window height.

He said: 'The word chaos is not strong enough. This is such a tragedy.'
Herve Blanche, Rochefort's mayor, confirmed the ‘horrific accident’ had claimed the lives of six children, and left at least three others seriously injured. He said the causes of the crash were under investigation.
A witness to the aftermath of the crash said: ‘It is a scene of chaos. The vehicles have been smashed to pieces, and emergency workers are helping survivors.’

The bus had been travelling from the Ile d’Oleron - the island off France’s Atlantic coast - to the town of Surgeres.
President Francois Hollande extended his ‘deepest sympathies’ to friends and families of the victims, who have not been identified.
Yesterday two children, aged 12 and 15, died when a school bus veered off a road in snowy conditions near the Swiss border in eastern France.
The school bus was carrying 32 children on its daily trip to the village school in Montbenoit when it 'left the road' in snowy conditions, a police source in that case said.
Investigations into the exact cause of both accidents have already been opened.
A total of 3,464 people died on French roads in 2015 – a 2.4 percent increase on 2014. Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve blamed the spike on ‘an increase in risky behaviour that can lead to fatalities’.
Mr Cazeneuve also said drivers were ‘too relaxed’ when it came to following the road rules, and that many motorists continued to drive ‘at excessive speed’.

Cambridge student found murdered in Cairo 'had his ears sliced off and all of his fingers broken before he was killed by having his neck broken'

Cambridge student found murdered in Cairo 'had his ears sliced off and all of his fingers broken before he was killed by having his neck broken'

Italian Giulo Regeni, 28, was found dead on a highway outside Cairo, Egypt
The Cambridge student was tortured and suffered 'animal-like' violence
His ears were cut off and all his fingers broken during the brutal ordeal
Suffering bruises, cuts and burns, he only died when his neck was broken
It has been claimed Egypt's notorious security services are responsible
Mr Regeni was staying in Cairo to research Egypt's labour organisations

A Cambridge student found murdered in Cairo was killed when his neck was broken after having all of his fingers snapped and his ears sliced off.
Giulio Regeni, 28, was found dead near a highway outside the Egyptian capital, nine days after he was reported missing, having suffered 'inhuman animal-like violence'.
The Italian national, a student of Cambridge's Department of Politics and International Studies, was brutally tortured before his death, autopsies revealed.

Sources close to the investigation told Ansa news agency he was found with his ears chopped off, as well as broken fingers and toes, the International Business Times reported.
However, these injuries are just a handful of the litany of abuses Mr Regeni is said to have suffered.

Autopsies showed he was found with bruises, stabbing cuts, burns from cigarettes and had toenails torn off.
Italian media are now pointing fingers at Egyptian security services, saying the autopsy results show signs of torture which suggests that his killers believed that he was a spy, The Local reports.
The autopsy revealed that Mr Regeni's neck was twisted or struck which broke a vertebra and left him unable to breathe.
Prosecutors from Rome have opened a murder investigation into the death of the doctoral student and ministers are calling for Egypt's president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to fully cooperate.
Egyptian Interior Minister Magdi Abdel Ghaffar has responded to the accusations in Italian media, completely rejecting any notion that security forces were involved in the killing of Mr Regeni.
'There are many rumours repeated on pages of newspapers insinuating the security forces might be behind the accident. This is unacceptable. This is not our policy,' he told a news conference.
Prime Minister Matteo Renzi is under pressure to authorize a state funeral for Mr Regeni, with anger mounting in Italy over Egypt's initial claims that the student had been killed in a road accident.
Mr Regeni, a student of Cambridge's Department of Politics and International Studies, had been in Cairo for just a few months as part of his PhD research into Egyptian labour movements when he disappeared on January 25.

He had left his apartment with a plan to travel by subway to meet a friend in the city, but was never seen again.
A second autopsy in Italy shed further light into Mr Regeni's death with details so shocking that interior minister Angelino Alfano told Sky TV that he struggled to catch his breath after reading the report.
While opening details have been released, analysis of tissue and body fluid, which could help pinpoint or at least narrow the time frame when Mr Regeni died, are expected to take several days.
Mr Alfano said the student had suffered 'something inhuman, animal-like, an unacceptable violence.'
Prosecutor Ahmed Nagi, who leads the investigation team on the case, had previously said 'all of his body, including his face' had bruises, cuts from stabbings and burns from cigarettes, adding that it appeared to have been a 'slow death.'
Italian police were dispatched to Cairo on Saturday and have started working with their Egyptian counterparts on the case.
Mr Alfano said: 'I am convinced that it is in the interest of el-Sissi to work together. No one can bring Giulio back to life, but bringing the truth to the surface will perhaps be able to save more lives.'
