This coming as US President Barack Obama continues to convince Republican lawmakers to ratify the START treaty, a treaty that would reduce each country's nuclear stockpile by 30%. Thousands of people marched through downtown Lisbon in a peaceful anti-NATO protest on Saturday during a summit of the alliance's leaders in the Portuguese capital.
