Men are posting brazen advertisements online offering 'open-minded and uninhibited' women a rent free place to stay in exchange for sex.
A number of advertisements targeting international students and backpackers in Queensland have been posted on classified websites like Craigslist and Locanto spruiking a 'free' place to stay for females who are willing to take care of their host's 'more intimate needs'.
'You do not need to be working or have an income to live here as everything is provided for you,' an ad for an apartment in Surfers Paradise reads.
'In return you will help around the house with cleaning up and keeping the place clean, as well as take care of my more intimate needs.'

The advertiser, who is looking for a female tenant between the ages of 18 and 35, offers short or long term arrangements - even joking that a like-minded visitor could stay for yeas if they were willing.
The apartment has wifi, a pool and gym access, while the Australian advertiser says he is in his 30s and describes himself as having 'average looks and build'.


Another ad for 'free backpacker accommodation' in Noosa Heads, north of Brisbane, states the host is seeking one or two fit females, 'no older then [sic] 30ish' who will help clean, cook and 'provide company'.
The 26-year-old, who describes himself as athletic, stipulates that the boarder would be sharing a room with him but says he and his other female house mate work a lot and are not often home.

Another ad for 'free backpacker accommodation' in Noosa Heads, north of Brisbane, states the host is seeking one or two fit females, 'no older then [sic] 30ish' who will help clean, cook and 'provide company'.
An additional ad, seen by Domain, sought a 'carefree and open' female house mate who likes 'those cuddle puddle massage circles at outdoor doof parties'.
It is not illegal to offer rent free accommodation in return for sex unless one of the parties involved has been coerced but some are concerned the practice preys on vulnerable members of the community.
Di Macleod, director of the Gold Coast centre against sexual violence, said the issue had long plagued women with lower-socio-economic status and was only now evolving into the digital sphere.
'I know on the Gold Coast we have had problems like this with share houses for as long as I can remember,' Ms Macleod told Domain.

But some are concerned the practice preys on vulnerable members of the community
She said a number of women have come in that were oblivious to the fact their landlord was expecting sexual favours in exchange for rent free accommodation and insisted that classified ads of that nature should be regulated.
'The ads should be looked at and if seen to be obviously preying on the vulnerable, should be removed,' she said.
Political scientist Barbara Sullivan has studied the rights of sex workers in Australia and says that regulating or prohibiting sex as a method of payment for accommodation would only drive vulnerable people underground where they are more isolated from community support or legal protection.
'From my perspective, the problem is economic vulnerability. And the solution is to provide better income support and more information about where to go for help,' she told Domain.

Discerning shoppers bored by the standard hen egg can now buy massive emu eggs at Waitrose - for an eye-watering £23.99 per item.
Currently in season, the emu egg is the equivalent of 12 normal eggs and can take up to 90 minutes to cook.
They are described by their supplier Clarence Court as 'a touch milder' in taste than a hen egg, with a 'fluffier' texture.

The eggs are not available all year round as emus lay their eggs through the winter months - on average one egg every three days.
Clarence House said: 'They also boast a high ratio or yolk to white, nearly half white/half yolk, allowing extraordinary results when used for baking cakes.


'Great used in an omelette or enjoyed as scrambled egg, prepare as you would using hen eggs. Also brilliant hardboiled and sliced for fantastic twist on the traditional egg sandwich.'
A spokesperson for Waitrose told The Mirror: 'They say you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. But there is one on sale in Waitrose that is so large it can easily make four omelettes.'
Despite its pricey image, upmarket Waitrose recently topped the table for the best supermarket to buy own-brand items.
Discount chain Aldi was a close second in the 'best buy' league of 2015 compiled by consumer champion, Which?
Nearly one in two products researchers tested from Waitrose were worthy of a Which? best buy award in 2015, higher than any other supermarket.
The consumer group tested more than 160 supermarket products in 2015 to name the best food, drink, cleaning products, batteries and sunscreens and advise shoppers which ones to leave on the shelf.
Waitrose and Aldi both gained best buy recommendations for own-brand drinks in 2015. Waitrose was also awarded best buys for food, while Aldi excelled in tests of household cleaning products.
