Their hawkish policies and sky-high defense spending may have cost them the White House and Congress in 2008, but the neoconservatives are down...not out. They gathered less than a block from the White House for a conference on "Restoring America's Leadership of a Democratic World," without ever recognizing the role their policies played in damaging America's image internationally. Conservative leaders like John McCain joined Joseph Lieberman and Buck McKeon to express their support for a permanent US presence in Afghanistan and Iraq, continued defense spending and the imminent threats of Iran and China.

By 2050, minorities will be the majority in America and it is the Hispanic community that will be driving the growth. The Census Bureau predicts that one in three Americans will be Hispanic, a fact not lost on U.S. politicians looking to score new votes.

As RT's Ramon Galindo finds out, Latinos have become both a target in the hunt for coveted votes, and a scapegoat for all of America's problems.
