Is the US too Politically Correct?

The United States is known as a nation of tolerance but is political correctness pushing the mute button on free speech? Comedian Dean Obeidallah says in America if you make a racist statement against blacks or an Anti-Semitic remark against Jews, you will probably lose your job. If you make an Anti-Muslim or Anti-Arab statement you're rewarded, there is definitely a double standard.

The Values Voters Summit, the annual conference of the Family Research Council and other religious right groups, has drawn over 2,000 activists this year, who seem warmly receptive to uniting their culture war issues with the tea party movement. JP Freire says that this is a convenient alliance and that this is a response against 'big budget busting Republicans' of yesteryear.
