The retirement of the oldest foreign minister in the world




Prince Saud bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was born and Minister of State and member of the Saudi Council of Ministers, Advisor and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the supervisor of Foreign Affairs, in the city of Taif in 1940, and in his youth he joined the typical school Taif and then moved to the United States for higher education where he graduated after receiving a bachelor's degree in economics from Princeton University, New Jersey in 1964.

He joined the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, where he worked economically and its member adviser at the Higher Coordinating Committee of the ministry, and then go to the General Organization for Petroleum and Minerals "Petromin", and became responsible for petroleum Relations Office, which oversees the relationship between the ministry and the institution format, then appointed deputy governor of "Petromin" for Planning Affairs in 1970, then was appointed Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in 1971, also issued a royal decree appointing him as foreign minister in the formation ministerial dated 10/13/1975, after the vacancy is the death of his father, King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, who was foreign minister, a king of the country.


The Prince Saud al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the oldest in the world, where he served his country for 40 years during the rule of four kings who are the King Faisal and King Khalid and King Fahd and King Abdullah, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.


The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud issued a royal decree approving the Prince Saud bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud asked Foreign Minister relieved from his post for health conditions, and ordered his appointment as Minister of State and a member of the Saudi Council of Ministers, Advisor and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, supervisor of Foreign Affairs.
