Children seeking diplomacy
Can any one person really change or even save the world? What if that person wasn't even old enough to drive a car? Decades ago, 11 year old American Samantha Smith became a hero when she traveled to the Soviet Union, after having written a letter urging its leader, Yuri Andropov, to avoid the possibility of nuclear war. This time, 13 year old Korean-American Jonathan Lee hopes to have an impact on US-North Korean relations by going to North Korea in order to urge its leader to create a peace forest in the demilitarized zone.
